Meet Our Team

At Giggles Preschool, our team is made up of dedicated, caring individuals who are passionate about early childhood development. We believe in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Each member of our team plays an important role in helping children grow in confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

Teacher Sarah

Sarah is the owner, principal and main teacher at Giggles Preschool. She has been qualified in early childhood education since 2012 and holds a diploma in Grade R education. She is passionate about preparing children for big school and beyond.

Sarah believes in creating a love for lifelong learning and encourages children to build confidence through trying new things. One of her favourite sayings is, “It doesn’t matter if you can’t do it, what matters is that you try.” She inspires children to not fear failure, but to embrace challenges as part of their growth.

Teacher Babsie

Babsie has been part of the Giggles Preschool team since 2022 and plays an important role in keeping the school running smoothly. She ensures that the environment is always clean, safe, and welcoming for the children.

She also supports the daily routine by guiding children to take care of their environment, encouraging them to clean up after themselves and even wash their dishes. Babsie takes the lead in potty training and gently reminds children to use the toilet throughout the day, supporting their independence and development.

Teacher David

David joined the Giggles Preschool team in mid 2025 after previously being a Giggles parent. His journey with us gives him a unique understanding of our school community and values.
He assists with aftercare, including school pickups and supporting children with their homework. David also helps with general maintenance around the school, ensuring that our environment remains safe, functional, and welcoming for all the children.

ORT Education Learnerships and Internships

At Giggles Preschool, we are passionate about supporting the growth of future educators while continuing to provide a nurturing environment for our children. We proudly work alongside ORT SA CAPE, an organisation that trains and supports teachers while creating work opportunities for young people in the education sector.

Since October 2025, Teacher Nadine has been placed with us as an ORT intern. She is completing a 12 month work experience programme, gaining practical classroom experience as part of her training.

From April 2026, Teacher Magmoedah joins us as an ORT learnership student. She will be completing an 18 month Early Childhood Development qualification, which combines coursework with hands on experience in a school environment.
